About Me

A bit about me:

A Massachusetts native, I’ve lived in the Bay Area for 18 years and am the mother to an energetic young kiddo. I have studied and practiced Buddhism in the Tibetan tradition for 20+ years, and I've also been certified in Thai shiatsu bodywork, Reiki and Kripalu yoga (CYT).

Prior to practicing Rosen bodywork, I worked as a caregiver for seniors and people with disabilities and as an admin for arts/Buddhist orgs. In 2012, I completed my degree in Intermedia Art at Mills College, where I studied dance, photography, and experimental and documentary film. I’m very interested in the intersection between healing and the arts, and I maintain a regular writing practice.

As for how I got into Rosen Method, I discovered this modality in the early days of raising my child, when I found it enormously helpful for learning how to parent with presence and patience, and also for processing birth/medical trauma. It has been very grounding and eye-opening and a wonderful complement to other healing work.
